Half Moon Dentistry Office

Welcome To Half Moon Dentistry

Founded by Dr. Nancy Vertel, Half Moon Dentistry was built on a simple belief: every patient deserves exceptional care delivered with kindness, compassion, and respect.

What began as a trusted pediatric dental practice has evolved into a welcoming dental home for children, teens, adults, and families throughout South Surrey and the Lower Mainland.

Our modern office was thoughtfully designed to create a calm, comfortable experience for every patient. From first visits and preventative care to restorative and family dentistry, our team is committed to helping patients of all ages feel confident about their smiles.

Inspired By The Coast We Call Home

The name Half Moon is rooted in the local coastline and community. Semiahmoo Bay is part of Boundary Bay, and the name “Semiahmoo” is a Coast Salish word for “half moon.” That connection to place, family, and community is at the heart of the practice.

Half Moon Dentistry proudly welcomes patients from Surrey, South Surrey, White Rock, Delta, Ladner, Tsawwassen, Langley, and the greater Vancouver area.

Dr. Tania McIntosh

General & Family Dentist

Born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, Dr. Tania McIntosh earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in 2004, graduating magna cum laude. She then completed postgraduate training in prosthetic and implant dentistry in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2008.

In 2011, Dr. Tania moved to Canada and successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada certification process. She has proudly practiced general dentistry in British Columbia since 2015 and is honoured to call the province home.

Compassionate, Family-Centred Care

Dr. Tania chose dentistry because it combines science, artistry, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She finds great fulfillment in helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while creating positive dental experiences for children and adults alike.

As the owner of Half Moon Dentistry, Dr. Tania is proud to care for children, teens, adults, and families throughout Surrey, White Rock, Langley, and the surrounding communities. After spending many years practicing in a children-focused dental office, she developed a gentle, patient-centred approach that helps young patients feel at ease while also providing comprehensive dental care for adults and seniors.

Her Philosophy of Care

Dr. Tania believes exceptional dentistry is about much more than treating teeth. It begins with listening, building trust, and creating an environment where every patient feels respected, comfortable, and valued.

She takes time to clearly explain treatment options, answer questions, and work alongside each patient to develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term oral health.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Tania is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry through ongoing continuing education and professional development.
